The author failed to address why all future inflation indicators are going lower and why almost all commodities are flat over the past months (gold is the exception).

What future inflation indicator? It better be something other than BLS BS :-)

As for "all commodities are flat", many metals have had a very strong run-up and are consolidating now (look at the preponderance of metal thieves all over the globe to see how high they have gone!). However, agricultural products are going through a strong run-up right now. So, it is not just gold that is going up.
