McCain's the only Republican with a realistic chance of winning the election - given that he can attract votes from independents and even Democrats.

The only other fella who can get nominated is Romney (aka Mittney). And if Mittney is the candidate, either Hillary or Obama will make mincemeat of him! Most Democrats will not vote for him and even among the independents, far fewer will. And this time around, merely winning the bulk of the regressive religious fundamentalist Republican votes will not be enough for a Republican to win.

LOL That prediction took just about one week to go bad!

Well, what's one more failed prediction for you?! Are you voting for "Fewer jobs, more wars" McCain?! IOW, have you become a McCainiac yet?! I bet you would become one soon! ROTFLMAO

Regressive Right-wing Radio (RRR) is trying its best to bash John McCain and is projecting Varmint Romney as the alternative candidate.

I am wishing that they do succeed in that! Sen. McCain is the only Regressive candidate who can attract the cross-over votes from Democrats and Independents (that maybe because he is not fully regressive and has shown shades of progressive views on occasion).

Varmint can only get the regressive and fundamentalist votes (assuming of course that he gets an evangelical nutcase like Huckabee to be his running mate). But those votes are not enough. Without crossover votes, Varmint will lose. The Democrats are all fired up, and would be even more so if Sen. Obama gets the nomination (or is even on the ticket as Sen. Clinton's running mate). So their turnout will be high. Mccain is the only one who can capitalize on that (esp if his opponent is Clinton).

So, here's hoping that you are right (for the first time!) and Varmint is the nominee instead of McCain! :-)

Oops! Looks like Varmint doesn't favor Huckabee!

Well, if Varmint wins the primaries, he will have to get a different evangelical nutcase as the running mate. That shouldn't really be a problem since there must be a few tens of millions of them! :-)

McCain's not gonna win the nomination

So, what is your next great prediction gonna be?! ROTFL

McAmnesty and Chuckabee are burying the Varmint. Chuckabee does all the dirty work for McAmnesty.

I really must apologize to you after reading the following excerpt of a 1994 Romney letter that was published in the Boston Globe in late 2006.

"As a result of our discussions and other interactions with gay and lesbian voters across the state, I am more convinced than ever that as we seek to establish full equality for America's gay and lesbian citizens, I will provide more effective leadership than my opponent,'' Romney wrote, referring to US Sen. Edward M. Kennedy."

So, Romney (note that I am not using the "Varmint" nickname that I gave him here!) was championing the gay rights cause as far back as 14 years ago! And that is why many of you folks, including the RRR (Right-wing Regressive Radio) talk hosts chose him over McCain! You were so right in making such a liberal and kind-hearted man as your first choice. Please accept my sincere apologies for having made fun of your preference for Romney! ;-)

McCain's not gonna win the nomination

OK, a little more than a week after you said that..

Who do you think McCain's running mate gonna be?

Kay Bailey Hutchinson, Elizabeth Dole (to sort of blunt the possible Democratic nomination of Hillary Clinton)? Or Lindsey Graham? Or Bible-thumping Huckabee? Or Lieberman? (I think it won't be Lieberman, because he is the Regressives' "useful bi-partisan idiot" - he gets showered with praises for being "bi-partisan" but gets nothing else!)

What is funny is that the Regressive nominee will be someone who got there on the basis of his wins in states that he will have NO CHANCE of winning in Nov - Cal, NY, NJ...

Congratulations to all Regressives on discovering the winning formula! :-) ROTFL

So you are going to vote for McAmnesty (or, as a regressive right-wing talking head calls him, "Juan McCain")?!

Good choice! ROTFLMAO
