(Speculation on who's selling Metallica).

That clipping from a current NR reminded me that in September '01, as part of the El Morro deal, Noranda by way of private placement purchased 918,563 shares of Metallica @ C$1.67 per share.

Xstrata too has a big program "as they bring on huge mines". Perhaps they too see no purpose in holding these shares.
