The Republican Congress deserves credit for pushing Clinton the middle of the road. The 1990's Republican generation of lawmakers was on the ball. They got derailed through the impeachment troubles imo. Should have paid attention to business - holding down spending and taxes. The impeachment period cost us good leaders like Gingrich who felt compelled to resign when his own marital scandals was going to come out.
