<Consider that less than 4% of disposable income is spent on groceries...
HUH? I guess a family of four grossing $60,000 per year and netting $45,000 would spend $1800.00 per year on groceries?

Or grossing $80,000 and netting $60,000 which is generous is spending $2400/year or $200 a month.

Glad I eat at my place an not yours. <G>

Try 10%. What's another 250% on food between friends?

USDA's Economic Research Service (ERS) has recently released food expenditure statistics for 2005. They show that Americans are spending, on average, 9.9 percent of their disposable income on food.
