Was having this discussion with a friend the other day, and he suggests that revaluing currency is not an attractive way to fight inflation.

Aside from killing exports, what's wrong with using currency valuation as a method of controlling economic growth?

Is it just too difficult to keep a lid on credit and money supply?

Any thoughts on this would be welcomed!
