I really found the article about the Harlem Children's Zone inspiring.

One of the things I like best was the way Geoffrey Canada said that liberals and conservative think poverty is caused by different things, and they're both right.

What a concept! That exposes the fundamental problem with the political landscape today. The discussion is never really about solving a problem. It's really about making the other side look bad.

Liberals aren't always right and neither are conservatives. And the opposite is true, too. But even more importantly, sometimes both are right, and sometimes both are wrong.
