An Edwards supporter is most probably white. Whites tend to vote for Hillary slightly more than Obama. If Edwards had stuck around, he could have thrown his support to Obama at the convention, thus giving Obama a clear majority of delegates. Now his votes will go at least 50% to Hillary.

It's hard to see how people buying Edwards' anti-establishment message turn to the 35-year insider. But only new polls will say for sure.
