I just don't understand all the vitriol against the idea of reducing pollution on this planet. Do you like eating high concentrations of heavy metals in your fish? Where's the harm in moving to cleaner energy? I don't like Al Gore myself, but it's time we humans quit destroying this planet. Help me out here. What is the problem?

Joe Bloe could be run over by a Mack Truck or by a Steam Roller. The effect would be the same. You got to understand that there are different causes for the same effects. Some of the current warming trend can be explained by increased solar activity (and that's in dispute). The vast majority of it can be explained by the rapid uptrend in CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere, full stop. The sooner you understand this, the less perplexed you will be.

maybe you should read something other than the reverend al gore's climate change bible. So true lorne. Many gullible people feel they MUST have a cause to rally behind no matter how incredibly stupid and illogical. For example Scientology continues to thrive even though the mainstream folk know it is completely bogus..now we have Rev. Gore waving his sign on the street corner that the world is going to end. SIGH
