A Merlin needs an Arthur ... note that the wizard did not draw the sword from the stone and swing it himself, he played his own appropriate role in the story while aiding others to play theirs ... what we need here is a McDonald/Berry combo to do the drawing and swinging, have Kootenay take over Metalline on a share-for-share basis, keep Merlin as chief geo and provide him parameters to work within, using the sword as pointer if need be
