Tod - Thanks for clarifying. I understand what you mean now, and I apologize for thinking that your prior post was one of those "evil MMs" type posts that are often made by fans of more questionable stocks than PHPG.

I think all that happened here was that some MM was working a large sell order. There's no way to be 100% sure, but I do know that there's no reason why anyone would be shorting PHPG. Sometimes, trading in one stock or another looks a little weird, but that may be because funds or other large investors don't want "us" to know their intentions. It's almost always not the MMs that are "playing" - it's the people trading through them. I don't get to do it very often, but I know first-hand a couple of tricks to create an impression of strength or weakness in a stock that is contrary to my selling or buying intentions.

For example, if someone owns 50,000 shares of a thin stock like PHPG and wants to buy 100,000 more, maybe the first thing he'd do is dump 20,000 (in a very specific, strategic way) to knock the price down -- nothing illegal about that -- then sit on the bid at the lower price to scoop up shares from people who got spooked by the drop. That sort of thing happens all the time.
