Banks will solved only by sovereign funds moving in. Time for sovereign funds move in and survey the landscape and attack.

as lower short-term rates at this juncture will reduce stock prices and the price of other assets due to rising long-term interest rates.

That's why I think gold price might have seen its peak and begins to fall in response to the long term rising interest rate as well as deflationary recession. How deep the recession is everyone's guess. But the way I see it is the current economy is slowly marching to black hole. I hope the new capitals wouldn't chase speculative gold metals, but to fix the actual problem. There's tremendous amount of greed and abuse in the system that politicians need to address.
