If a politician came out and said, "Look people we will protect you and keep an organized government to manage public resources but we are not going to take care of your personal lives or your businesses." ...Would you vote for that politician? You might be one of the the only persons who would. We (most) want the security of knowing that we will be taken care of in our personal lives. So politicians, Bush included, borrow money and tax those who have extra to take care of us or we wouldn't vote for them. If they could get into office and stop that process we would be able to reduce national debt and there would be no deficit spending. We vote for socialism then hypocritically complain about it. Then we add the corruption of support for special interest pork projects if they want our campaign contributions.
