RE:"I think Obama would improve the US image in the world"

Why's that?

Same reason the world loved Clinton - he's a good looking inteligent sounding, non-aggressive guy. Like a movie star. The world likes that stuff.

After GB anyone will improve the US image abroad, but Obama'd do more than others since he's new, he's from the anti-war party, and he isn't the wife of the former President. Oh, and his being black (or mulatto, I guess), the President of the USA, and not racially divisive would amaze the world. His story is as excellent a story of American meritocracy as you can imagine, similar to Clinton's election in '92, (who was that guy in '91?) but even better.

Not much to do with policy, more image than anything else. Sarkozy has greatly improved US image of France without really doing much other than projecting the right image. Obama would accomplish the same thing in spades (oops!), methinks.
