Why do the British choose to call all wrench's spanners? In the US a spanner wrench is only an adjustable wrench used to open large span nuts with a hole drilled on each side.
Look at the list of screw driver types to see what the bolt head looks like. This is most typical of screw on collars for bearing and shaft assemblies.
