I walked into a party in my pajamas on New Year's Eve when my daughter did not come out at the appointed time. She had been warned. Her friends were in my car. That was so embarrassing for her - I laugh to this day!

They didn't mind if I came to things and sat in the audience with my mouth shut, so no one knew their mother was there.
