They will say, as they always do, that all the Ron Paul supporters are nutcases....even the "core republicans". <g> On your earlier point, if the "true conservatives" insist on nominating a republican who meets their litmus test but will be an utter disaster in the general election, then they will have what they seem to want....all the walls will crumble down and some kind of new purified conservative movement will rise up and reclaim the republican party from the "libs" and the non-believers. If they were serious, of course, they would rally around the principles espoused by Ron Paul, if not Dr. Paul himself. There is no more true conservative then he, at least as history has defined that term back to the 1940s and 1950s in this Country...all the way through Goldwater. But losing the Presidency in order to purge the party seems more to their liking...
