The desire for gain and profit is not greed, these are two very different creatures... the desire for gain and profit is what drives our economy, and those who are successful at this can enjoy the benefits of their personal industry... these people can enjoy a well earned sense of accomplishment and personal satisfaction that they did a job well done... this is not greed... greed is an illness that drives an individual beyond the borders of rational thinking, it's self destructive, it causes envy and sadness, it's counter productive... the greedy can never consider themselves as successful, much like the severely underweight anorexic who can never consider himself as thin... these people are driven over the line, they're no longer satisfied, they lack satisfaction, their sense of personal accomplishment is gone, they're depressed and can also become suicidal...
