Quite possibly, in another week, a focus on this thread will be McCain v. Hillary, as that appears to be the direction we are headed in.

And for that reason alone, it would be wise to quit bashing those who favor one candidate over another.

Does no good. Just the opposite.

Alan, I hope that you are correct.

We have all heard about Bush Derangement Syndrome. (link below)
en.wikipedia.org

"the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency—nay—the very existence of George W. Bush"

I think we have all had some form of reaction or thought about the very real Bush Derangement Syndrome phenomenon.

Since McCain won the closed Republican primary in Florida, I have sensed that the flames of "McCain Derangement Syndrome" were being fanned by people that otherwise are probably stable intelligent productive members of society.

Without a doubt, even though it is not evident from the contributors to this board, large numbers of Republicans are attracted to McCain and his campaign. I am one and while I seem to be alone on this board, it is important for others to realize that I am not alone in the population.

I have tried to learn why others are attracted to Obama, Clinton, Huckabee, Romney, etc. and read a wide variety of material about all of them. I am not interested in living in an echo chamber and I hope others also seek more than just confirmation of their own existing ideas.
