The Preamble to the US Constitution says: “ We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.[1] ” The only directive in this first sentence of the US Constitution is "provide for the common defence"..... Berkeley is acting in direct disobedience to the US Constitution, and depriving the citizens of that right that is guaranteed to them. I would think the ACLU should undertake this project, but I won't hold my breath. The ACLU doesn't seem to hold the US Constitution in high regard either.
