Elroy doesn't like esoteric stuff. He prefers clear language and crisp rules.

Not true, I am an English Literature major from Cal, and back in those days greatly enjoyed listening to extremely intelligent professors discuss the big questions of life as discussed in the various novels in the course syllabus. Facsinating stuff, but it has little to do with whether Apple stock goes up (or down) more or less than Dell stock. Our contest is a measurable financial numbers game. As long as there are no ghosts (or unknown 3 for 2 splits) or weird mood swings, there isn't much about this that is existential or esoteric, unless you consider an unpaid phone bill existential. It's not. It's a service you used and didn't pay for. Not much Ennui involved as Harris turns his $100 into $400 and then before the contest ends back to $34....

Yeah, the guy skipped right from childhood to middle age.

Completely devoid of philosophy.
