Bush and McCain made a deal last election. Remember when McCain showed up at Ft. Lewis and endorsed Bush for the nomination because he was the most hawkish and the troops loved that. Well that was the deal.

McCain: sure I'll endorse you for the nomination, but you have to give me something in return.

Bush: What's that Johnny?

McCain: You have to come out and endorse me in 2008. And see if you can get your old man to come along too.

Bush: You want that even if my approval ratings are as low as they are now.

McCain: You know George...hee hee........I've been considered a liberal by some factions of the conservative party, and so I'm willing to go there since I'm gonna need as many conservative votes I can get.

That might help get the old bag ladies to vote for Romney instead of McCain.
