These are two separate events.

The delegates in the Primaries are for a given party in their election process of their party's Candidates for President and Vice President and culminates at the given party's National Convention.

At this time, if you follow the main stream media they are writing as though this is the General Election as they endorse candidates for the Democrats and candidates for the Republicans for President.

I will post a couple of links for each party so you can see the difference.
