LindyBill,

My lipid panel indicated I was a little or no risk for heart disease. My scan showed I had plaque, and therefore heart disease, and I started a program to reduce it.

No other scan will show the plaque because the x-rays work to slowly.

In addition to regular blood test (+ 25(OH) Vitamin D) I also requested C-Reactive Protein test, and it came in at 0.65 - Low cardiovascular risk. My cholesterol test also showed very low risk. Therefore, a question for me is do I want ratiation exposure in spite of both coming as low risk? My answer is no at this time.

Regarding program to reduce plaque, do you have a convenient link to the summary of the program? I am curious.

Joe
