I jumped around, not with the women but with the books. Science fiction, Asimov, Heinlein and so on Science Fantasy, C.S. Lewis, Le Guin, Tolkien, Vonnegut, et cetera, Assorted, Thomas Mann, Hesse, Sartre, Camus, Kierkegaard, Looking back, the one thing that stands out was a conversation over lunch with two others from the Basketball team. We discussed the U.S. coming off the Gold Standard & speculating what a great time it would be to invest in Gold. I don't know what the other two did but I went back to my books & Gold went to over $800 an ounce. It's funny that should be the standout memory of college, the failure to take an opportunity that presents itself so clearly. That opportunity & the time I had Patricia C. up in my bedroom.....
