I've been thinking that Obama may be the best qualified. It's probably not PC, and I haven't thought it out too much, but he might feel the weight of history enough to surround himself with sober advisers and make a special effort not to screw things up too much

Obama's already surrounding himself with sober advisors. Unfortunately they are all Jimmy Carter retreads or hard-left progressives. Or sometimes just plain pro-terrorist.
