Why are we arguing this on this thread, anyway? It belongs on Solon's thread. Islamofascists claim it is religious - and aimed at them. Oh its aimed at them alright but that doesn't make it religious. Fighting for Allah isn't religious????? Then WHAT is???? Well the wider war on terror is religious - On one side only... ????? The Religious Right on this side doesn't count???? And those killers ARE considered heroes and martyrs by some Christians. You can find SOME just about anything. Why does some matter? And there are plenty of southern Irish that considered the IRA nothing but opportunists, goons, and killers. The Wars of the Reformation were considered by dome nothing but opportunities to exercise old geographic grudges. And those who called them wars against religious infidels.
