If McCain was ready to phase out our Iraq role and favored moderate SC appointments, he could capture a much larger portion of independents, especially against Hillary (due to her proven negatives).

As it is, he is evenly matched in the head to head polls. I want to see those polls in six months when there are fewer undecideds. I suspect the numbers are way beyond soft for now.

III have posted about McCain- because I found it remarkably interesting that the reps might be stuck with a candidate they hate (kind of like the dems might be.)

For all the love some have for Hillary, from the polls it looks like she gets the same kind of adoration from her party that McCain gets- which is to say, many folks aren't very happy with either of them

Now you can yell at people, and tell them they ought to love these folks, or you can just laugh. I both responses do about the same amount of "good".
