The lie you keep spreading is because you are confusing Mercy International of Kenya which has nothing to do with the one on Canada or the United states. The only thing they had in common was a simular name:

9/26/2001; McDermott, 2005, pp. 154, 162] It is unclear what has happened to Zahid since. In 1999 it will be reported he is believed to be in Kuwait, but in 2002 the Kuwaiti government will announce he is a member of al-Qaeda, so presumably he is no longer welcome there. [Reeve, 1999, pp. 48; Los Angeles Times, 9/1/2002] Mercy International’s Kenya branch will later be implicated in the 1998 US embassy bombing in that country, and so will KSM, Zahid’s brother (see Late August 1998).

1988-Spring 1995: KSM’s Brother Works for Charity Allegedly Connected to CIA Zahid Shaikh Mohammed, brother of 9/11 mastermind Khalid Shaikh Mohammed (KSM), works as the head of the Pakistani branch of the charity Mercy International. A book published in 1999 will allege that this charity, based in the US and Switzerland, was used by the CIA to funnel money to Muslim militants fighting against US enemies in places such as Bosnia and Afghanistan (see 1989 and After). It is not known when Zahid got involved with the charity, but he was heading the Pakistani branch by 1988, when his nephew Ramzi Yousef first goes to Afghanistan (see Late 1980s). [Reeve, 1999, pp. 120] In the spring of 1993, US investigators raided Zahid’s house while searching for Yousef (see Spring 1993). Documents and pictures were found suggesting close links and even a friendship between Zahid and bin Laden. Photos and other evidence also showed close links between Zahid, KSM, and government officials close to Nawaf Sharif, who is Prime Minister of Pakistan twice in the 1990s. They also discover that Zahid was seen talking to Pakistani President Farooq Ahmad Khan Leghari during a Mercy International ceremony in February 1993. [Reeve, 1999, pp. 48-49, 120] But despite the raid, Zahid apparently keeps his job until about February 1995, when Yousef is arrested in Pakistan (see February 7, 1995). Investigators learn Yousef had made a phone call to the Mercy office, and there is an entry in Yousef’s seized telephone directory for a Zahid Shaikh Mohammed. Pakistani investigators raid the Mercy office, but Zahid has already fled. [United Press International, 4/11/1995; Guardian, 9/26/2001; McDermott, 2005, pp. 154, 162] It is unclear what has happened to Zahid since. In 1999 it will be reported he is believed to be in Kuwait, but in 2002 the Kuwaiti government will announce he is a member of al-Qaeda, so presumably he is no longer welcome there. No lets examine this article. This is the name you always confuse and state that Mercy USA and Mercy International (In Canada) is associated with. This is why you are wrong.

Have Mercy, its a completly different organization then the one you keep saying is in Canada.

"The FBI and Kenyan police raided the Nairobi offices of a Saudi
Arabian charity, the Mercy International Relief Agency, in
connection with the bombing, hauling away documents, computers
and cash, an employee said Friday.

A Kenyan employee, Shaban Hassan, remained in custody a day "

FBI Mum on Embassy Bombing Clues

By Karin Davies
Associated Press Writer
Saturday, August 22, 1998; 2:42 a.m. EDT

NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) -- Searching for clues in the East Africa
embassy bombings, authorities staged a pair of raids but were
tight-lipped about what evidence, if any, was uncovered.
Investigators were still describing their probe into twin
bombings of U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania as being in the
preliminary stages, even two weeks after the Aug. 7 attacks --
and even after the United States launched cruise missile strikes
it said were in response to the embassy bombings.
Neither the Kenyan nor Tanzanian governments has made any public
comment about Thursday's U.S. strikes on targets in Sudan and
Afghanistan, which the Clinton administration said were tied to
terrorist activity.
Instead, American and Kenyan investigators widened their net. On
Friday in the Indian Ocean coast town of Malindi, five glove-clad
FBI agents and two Kenyan police officials made a three-hour
search of a slum house.
Witnesses said the homeowner, a driver for the Labor Ministry,
was taken into custody.
That came on the heels of another raid, this one in the Kenyan
capital.
The FBI and Kenyan police raided the Nairobi offices of a Saudi
Arabian charity, the Mercy International Relief Agency, in
connection with the bombing, hauling away documents, computers
and cash, an employee said Friday.
A Kenyan employee, Shaban Hassan, remained in custody a day after
Thursday's raid, said Abdullah Ahmed, a charity secretary.
The Sudanese director, Mohammed Abdullah, has been missing for
three weeks, Ahmed said.
The FBI and Kenyan police refused to comment on either raid.
A Sudanese and a Saudi were arrested at the Afghan border
Saturday. Both were still being questioned, and have not been
identified.
The embassies in Nairobi and Dar es Salaam were the targets of
car bombings in which 257 people died, all but 10 of them in
Kenya. Twelve of the dead were Americans.
FBI Director Louis Freeh, who flew back to Washington on Friday
after visiting the two bombed-out embassies and conferring with
field agents, said he had made ``no final conclusions'' about who
carried out the bombings.
Freeh would not say whether evidence developed during U.S.
inquiries at the bomb scenes led to Thursday's American missile
strikes.

And yet another article talking about Mercy International in Kenya and NOT about the one with a simular name in Canada:

analyst-network.com

Confronting the Enemies of Freedom Dr. Rachel Ehrenfeld
24 Jan 2005
FrontPageMagazine.com | 1/24/2005

The incoming Secretary of State Dr. Condoleezza Rice made an unsettling statement during her confirmation hearing on January 18th, saying: “We didn't understand the role of non-governmental organizations [that were] carrying out or funding terrorist activities. Others didn't understand that, in the Muslim world, like the Saudis.”

But according to former Director for Transnational Threats at the National Security Council, Lee Wolosky: "The U.S. government had a clear understanding prior to 9/11 of the role that Saudi-based organizations and individuals played in financing terrorism. The Saudis also had a clear understanding of this, since we told them about it.”

Indeed, the evidence supports Mr. Wolosky. Volumes of official U.S. government records document the role Islamist “charitable organizations” played in funding al-Qaeda, Hamas, and other terrorist organizations. A few examples: the International Islamic Relief Organization (IIRO) was established as a non-governmental organization in 1978 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. It was financed by “the generous people of Saudi Arabia [including] King Fahd and the Royal family,” in the words of IIRO Secretary General Adnan Basha as paraphrased by the Washington Post on September 29, 2001. Basha also noted that the IIRO “donated more than $60 million to the Taliban.” The Arabic periodical Rose al-Yusuf described the IIRO as “firmly entrenched with Osama bin-Laden’s al-Qaeda organization.” Further evidence about the IIRO’s funding of al-Qaeda is illustrated by the activities of the IIRO office in the Philippines, which was headed by Osama bin-Laden’s brother-in-law, Muhammad Jamal Khalifa, who co-founded the Abu Sayyaf terrorist organization in that country.

Another Saudi charity, Mercy International, was identified in the trial testimony of al-Qaeda operative L'Houssaine Khertchou as the financial source behind the 1998 bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania. After the bombings, the Kenyan government outlawed both Mercy International and the IIRO for their involvement in the funding of the embassy bombers.

Additional testimony given by expert witnesses during many Congressional hearings even before 9/11 identified the IIRO as a conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center attack; in plots to destroy the bridges and tunnels of New York city; in attempts to blow up 12 American Airlines flights simultaneously, and in a conspiracy to assassinate former president William Jefferson Clinton and Pope John Paul II. Official Palestinian documents discovered by the Israeli Defense Forces in April 2002 likewise list IIRO donations of at least $280,000 to Palestinian organizations that the U.S. itself had linked to HAMAS.

The IIRO’s activities had achieved such notoriety that, after September 11th, the U.K.’s Charity Commission took “the IIRO off its list of registered charities on grounds that it did not function as one.” However, despite this British acknowledgement and despite the raiding of the IIRO offices in Virginia in March 2002, the U.S. government was persuaded by the Saudis that the IIRO had legitimate charitable functions. Taking the Saudis at their word, the US kept the IIRO off its designated terrorist list.

Yet expert testimonies given in Congress have identified many other Saudi charities as financing al-Qaeda, HAMAS and other Islamist terror organizations. The sheer volume of evidence presented led to US pressure on the Saudis, who, only after being attacked by “deviant” al-Qaeda members in Riyadh in 2003, took measures to rein in some of the charities. “They [the Saudis] just did not do too much about the problem until later - not until they themselves were hit in May 2003,” says Mr. Wolosky. The 9/11 Commission concurred that, in Saudi Arabia, "charitable giving...until recently [was] subject to very limited oversight."

In June 2004, a new Saudi National Commission for Relief and Charity Work Abroad was belatedly established to oversee all Saudi contributions supporting charitable donations abroad. However, Saudi support of the spread of Wahhabism has not diminished. Even now, Saudi state television continues to broadcast incendiary sermons from Medina to the rest of the world, in which the likes of Sheik Saleh Bdeir preach that “the enemies of Islam, the Jews, Christians, [and] atheists…never cease attacking the Islamic nation” and exhort their followers to “confront your enemies’ efforts with greater and stronger efforts, before these enemies become stronger.” Not surprisingly, Wolosky stresses that “reasonable people continue to differ on whether they are doing enough now and whether the United States is pushing them hard enough."

Dr. Rice’s statement that neither the US nor the Saudis knew that charitable organizations funded terrorism is thus disconcerting. It indicates that the administration will refrain from confronting Saudi Arabia for the role its newly government-controlled “charitable organizations” continue to play in the spread of the oppressing Wahhabism around the world. Such a self-defeating policy will surely keep President’s George W. Bush’s vision of expanding freedom around the world from becoming reality

Press Briefing on Humanitarian Aid

THE WHITE HOUSE

Office of the Press Secretary
(Dearborn, Michigan)
________________________________________________________________________
For Immediate Release April 16, 1999

PRESS BRIEFING BY
FEMA DIRECTOR JAMES LEE WITT,
DEPUTY ADMINISTRATOR OF AID HATTIE BABBITT, AND
SENIOR DIRECTOR FOR MULTILATERAL AFFAIRS FOR NSC ERIC SCHWARTZ

Roseville Recreation Center
Dearborn, Michigan

12:01 P.M. EDT

COLONEL CROWLEY: Good morning. In advance of the President's arrival here, for the next few minutes before he begins his remarks downtown, we thought we'd use the opportunity to bring some of our humanitarian experts in to give you kind of a preview of -- a review of where we are with the humanitarian situation on the ground, the importance of the humanitarian efforts that are being ginned up here in Detroit and elsewhere around the country, and then how that assistance will get to where it needs to be on the ground in places like Albania, Macedonia, the frontline states that are dealing with the humanitarian crisis in Kosovo.

So we have three briefers for you: Eric Schwartz will start off. He's the Senior Director for Multilateral Affairs at the National Security Council. He'll be followed by Hattie Babbitt, the Deputy Administrator of AID; and then James Lee Witt, the Director of FEMA. So, starting off, Eric Schwartz.

MR. SCHWARTZ: Thanks, PJ. We've all read the reports and the stories of the forced marches, the killings for which Slobodan Milosevic is responsible. What we've seen over the past month is really -- three weeks -- is really a continuation of what we saw throughout 1998, when more than 400,000 Kosovars were displaced in one manner or another.

The U.S. from the start has been strongly behind the humanitarian assistance effort to try to address the suffering that Milosevic has created. Over the past year we've done about $150 million in assistance to displaced Kosovars. And the President's supplemental budget request will include substantial additions in the humanitarian area. This is to aid both civilian organizations like the United Nations High Commission of Refugees, as well as the NATO military and humanitarian effort, which is ongoing in both Macedonia and Albania.

In addition to our own efforts, the U.S. military has performed tremendous service, and will continue to do so. We're in the process of -- beginning construction of facilities for refugees in Albania. The U.S. military is beginning barge transport from Ancona, Italy, into Albania. We will be providing sheeting, blankets, hygiene kits, water, tanks and tents. So both the U.S. military and the Agency for International Development and the State Department Refugee Bureau are all deeply engaged in the effort.

Critical, especially here in Detroit, the non-governmental organizations have been partners in this effort. The President will see them today, right here. And that is a critical element in our overall approach in responding to the humanitarian disaster. And in that respect, we are especially concerned over the past several days not only about the reports of the internally displaced within Kosovo who continue to suffer -- we estimate that there may be several hundred thousand or more inside -- as well as reports over the past 24 hours of additional displacement out of Kosovo. Over the past 24 hours, about 12,000 Kosovars are believed to have fled Kosovo into neighboring countries including Macedonia and Albania.

The President established a coordination council to address this issue, and today we have representatives of two agencies on that council. Brian Atwood, our AID Administrator, is the director, is the chairman of the council, and his deputy, Hattie Babbitt, the Deputy Administrator of AID is here and she will speak to you in a minute. And after Hattie, James Lee Witt, another member of the council, the Director of FEMA. And I think it's especially here in Michigan where there are private voluntary organizations and so much private citizen concern, I think the work that Director Witt and FEMA has done in coordinating the effort of private citizens who want to assist in the humanitarian effort really has been groundbreaking, and we want to offer our most sincere thanks and appreciation to FEMA in this effort.

But before we hear from Director Witt, let me introduce Hattie Babbitt who will talk for the Agency for International Development. We'll be able to take questions after the remarks.

Hattie.

MS. BABBITT: Thank you very much. I'm Deputy Director of USAID. USAID is the home for OFTA, the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance and coordinates a lot of the nongovernmental organization and governmental work that goes on in places like Albania and Macedonia. I thought it might be helpful to you to give you some examples of the kinds of things that we're going to be facing in the future. Everybody's read all of your stories about what we're facing now. Eric talked about new refugees coming across the border; that's, of course, one of the things we've been planning for is new influxes, how will those people be handled in the context of the already very crowded camps and conditions, particularly in Albania.

The other issue that will arise, I predict, we are planning for and will certainly be of concern in the near, medium and long-term future are those refugees who are not in the camps who are so visible to everyone, but those who are housed in homes, both in Albania and in Macedonia.

One of the facts about this region is that it is the poorest part of Europe. If you look at the per capita GDP in Albania and Macedonia, it's roughly the per capita GDP of Haiti and significantly below the per capita GDP of Honduras and Nicaragua, the next two poorest countries in our hemisphere. So these are extraordinarily challenged countries, even without these massive influxes of refugees.

The way that the international community handles some of that with host families is to provide mostly through the World Food Program, but through all sorts of NGOs as well. Food and provisions -- wheat, sugar, cooking oil, some beans, perhaps, cheese, additional kinds of food to help with the very tight food supply. You've all seen the influx of blankets and so forth. Those don't just go to camps, they also go to these very generous host families who often will have ten or 15 additional people in their two very small rooms.

The status that I can give you is that we have a DART team in both countries -- those are Disaster Assistance Response Teams -- which go in, and they are very experienced people. The DART team leader in Macedonia is a smoke jumper from Boise, Idaho. These are people who are accustomed to sort of managing camps and managing emergency situations. The DART team leader in Albania is also a very experienced one, and what they do is go in and assess how best under very, very stretched circumstances to move commodities.

Moving commodities in a situation like Albania or in Macedonia is extraordinarily difficult, and those are the folks who decide which NGO has the capacity -- they get bids, they get requests from NGOs and they make an analysis of who is best at camp management, who can best provide additional food, who can best provide additional shelter, who can best coordinate measles and polio vaccinations, who can best provide sanitation, a huge issue.

The sanitation issues up in the Kukes area in Albania I think are a good example. It's no place you want to be, but in fact, we've made enormous progress in recent days in building pit latrines and doing those kinds of things that provide for sanitation under these very taxing circumstances.

What I'd like to do now is pass the microphone on to James Lee Witt that -- he will explain just how extraordinary this partnership is. You all have heard how NATO has stepped in to help deal with the logistics in Albania and Macedonia. That's a very unusual thing. That was necessitated by the enormous numbers of people coming across the border at once.

The handoff from NATO to the NGOs should be completed sometime next week if the level of refugees remains pretty much the same. If it increases, we'll have to reevaluate exactly how fast that handoff takes. There are NGOs that are very experienced at camp management; CARE out of Atlanta is one of them. But if the circumstances remain more or less stable, we would anticipate a handoff next week. If we don't remain more or less stable, then we'll reevaluate that need.

Another extraordinary part about this has been the very close collaboration that James Lee Witt has offered from FEMA. I'll let him describe that to you, but these are extraordinary circumstances and this is a steadfast national and international team that's working together to approach it.

James Lee.

MR. WITT: Thanks, Hattie. And good afternoon. FEMA's role in the support of the Kosovar refugees is to coordinate the U.S. donations in support of USAID. We have operators that are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, that are taking donations calls. And what's really amazing is the stories that they are hearing from the people that are calling.

We've taken over 31,000 calls, and it's -- 95 percent of the calls want to make a cash donation to the volunteer organizations that are working in Kosovo for -- or around Kosovo for those refugees and supporting those volunteer organizations.

We have a list of the organizations that Interaction has provided to us, supporting the efforts with USAID. And we will go through that list until someone selects an organization and makes a donation. But what's interesting, one gentleman called; he made a $1,000 donation to the organization that he selected. The next day he called back and said, I was thinking about this and I don't think that $1,000 was enough. I want to contribute another $1,000.

One lady called and said, I want to give $500 to CARE. Then she said, no, make it $1,000. One gentleman called and said, I've been up all night long worrying about these refugees, seeing their pictures on television, and I just wanted to call to make a donation to help the effort.

It is overwhelming. The organizations are trying to get us the numbers now so we can share them with you, what the American people have contributed so far. And some of them have said it's been -- they have received now more than they received in the entire response to Hurricane Mitch.

So the American people are responding in an overwhelming way. Some want to give -- some want to be connected where they could be a foster home for a whole family, if they could adopt a family or a child temporarily until they could go back home. Corporations have called wanting to donate huge medical supplies. And then we get them in contact with USAID and also the volunteer organizations doing that type of relief so it can support the effort.

So we're very pleased to be able to work and help the effort. It's 1-800-USAID-Relief. They can go to the Internet with WWW.Interaction.Org. And what's really interesting is 60 percent of the calls have connection to the Internet and have been going to the web page looking up the organizations as well. Schoolchildren have called. They are taking up donations and pick out a volunteer organization they want to contribute to.

So it's very overwhelming to all of us, the amount of aid and the calls that we're getting. Our operators are on duty seven days a week, 24 hours a day. And I was out there Saturday visiting with our operators that are taking these calls, and you should have seen the spirit that they have in talking to all of these people calling. And they, themselves, are overwhelmed with gratitude for what the American people are doing.

So I guess we'll be happy to take any of your questions.

Q The 31,000 calls -- what time period?

MR. WITT: Most of the calls are in the daytime or in the late afternoon. Quite a few calls are late at night, different shifts of people getting off work.

Q You mentioned money in the supplemental for refugees. How much in the supplemental or what portion of the supplemental will be for humanitarian assistance?

MR. SCHWARTZ: I think that's for others to tell you in terms of exact numbers. But what I can say is the President has made it clear to all of us that our response on the humanitarian side must be adequate, generous, and must meet the critical needs -- or at least must meet our fair share of the critical needs.

Q What about a dollar figure --

MR. SCHWARTZ: As a general matter, the U.S. share of the international relief efforts has been in the neighborhood, traditionally, on the civilian side, civilian relief efforts of 20 to 25 percent, usually on the upper end of 25 percent.

Q Out of the supplemental figure?

MR. SCHWARTZ: I think we'll just have to wait and see, precisely. I think, clearly, it will be a not insignificant amount, but I don't want to get into any level of detail.

Q Can you give us a ballpark figure -- because 20 or 25 percent of the number -- we don't know what the number is.

MR. SCHWARTZ: No, no, when I say 20 to 25 percent, I'm talking about the U.S. In international relief efforts, this is a multilateral relief response. And when the United States participates in multilateral relief responses as a general matter, we contribute to civilian relief efforts up to 25 percent of the international total. And as we have put together our thinking relating to the supplemental, that percentage has guided our thinking.

Q Of the 31,000 calls -- from what period of time?

Q What day to what day?

Q What period of time?

Q Two days? A week?

MR. WITT: This coming Tuesday will be two weeks.

Q Do you know who the President is meeting with now? Do you know exactly who the President is meeting with now?

MR. WITT: At this moment? I do not know at this moment.

Q What are the humanitarian groups for the Albanian Americans that he is meeting with?

MR. WITT: My understanding, there are several different volunteer organizations that are working the humanitarian effort that are going to be here today.

Q -- in this list?

MR. WITT: I do not have the list.

MR. SCHWARTZ: We'll get it for you.

Q What's the average donation from the private -- the cash donations you said?

MR. WITT: One corporation that we linked up with the volunteer organization that they wanted to contribute to was $100,000.

Q -- internal refugees? The President indicated earlier this week in the Rose Garden that within a couple of days there would be a plan to try and assist these people. Is there?

MR. SCHWARTZ: This is an issue which is being worked actively by a range of countries, as well as the North Atlantic Council of NATO has looked at this issue and explored a range of options. The options for getting food to the displaced in Kosovo are not many. And ultimately, we're prepared to support efforts of private volunteer organizations and appropriate international organizations to try to get food and medicine in. We think, under current circumstances, from our side, that is something that is feasible to do, but it needs the acquiescence or the permission of the Serb authorities, and it needs the agreement of the Serb authorities not to go after civilians, civilian relief deliverers, and the recipients of relief. And that agreement from the Serb authorities is, as yet, forthcoming. We haven't gotten that.

Q -- discussions --

MR. SCHWARTZ: Discussions are taking place on a number of different fronts on that issue, yes. International organizations as well as private volunteer organizations.

Q -- about Michigan and why are you all here today? Is there anything unique about Michigan's efforts?

MR. WITT: I think part of the distinction here is there is a large Albanian population in this area, and also there is considerable relief efforts from the Albanians in this area working with the relief organizations to support the effort.

MS. BABBITT: The only thing I would add to that is the President spoke about Kosovo yesterday in San Francisco; he will be speaking about it today. And he will use opportunities during domestic travel to speak about this issue. And he was in Detroit for other reasons today as well.

MR. SCHWARTZ: Let me also say that the President met a couple of days ago with representatives of the Serbian American community as well. This is -- our efforts are not directed at any nationalities, directed at the policies of Slobodan Milosevic, and in fact, had quite a good meeting in many respects with the Serbian Americans, we understand.

For example, the United States has -- we have provided substantial assistance to displaced Serbs in Serbia, displaced in the Bosnian conflict. So we believe that humanitarian assistance should go to displaced civilians wherever they are, and that is an important part of our overall approach.

Q Would you say that the amount of the donations is unprecedented? Because you said it was bigger than Mitch.

MR. WITT: Some of the volunteer organizations that we're working with, we have gone out to them to try to get a number since we've been doing this, supporting them. They're looking at those now, but they have come back and said that the contributions since we started -- one major organization has received over $1.5 million; one newer organization just getting started has received $75,000; one has received already half the amount that they received in the entire Mitch fundraising effort. One organization has raised as much as they did for Mitch, and recently had their most successful fundraising day in its 20-year history.

So it's really, truly an overwhelming response to this. A major brokerage firm is donating $100,000 to three Interaction members, having learned about the organizations over the Internet, the web site.

So it's -- they've responded extremely well and we're very proud of the effort.

MS. BABBITT: The only thing I would add to that is that the First Lady has done a public service announcement which will talk about Kosovo, refer people to 1-800-USAID-Relief, and when they call that number they will get the telephone operators that James Lee Witt has talked about. So we are continuing with this, with the First Lady's help. And they will show the PSA later today as part of this.

COLONEL CROWLEY: I think we have the PSA to air for you right away. I think there is a paper floating around that has some specific representation on the relief organizations here in the Detroit area that will be represented at the event today, including Southeastern Chapter of the American Red Cross; the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit; the Roseville Salvation Army; Mercy International USA; Life for Relief and Development; the Catholic Relief Services, Detroit Archdiocese; the Albanian Islamic Center; and Church World Service, CROP.

But there is a paper, has a little background on each of these organizations. So we'll go ahead with the PSA now.

Q When did this start airing, the PSA? Is this brand new? Today.

MS. BABBITT: But it is up on satellite as of 1:30 p.m. Eastern Standard.

Q Where is it running?

COLONEL CROWLEY: I'm going to hand out a press release with all the details. There are, roughly, I think 40,000 Albanian Americans in the Detroit area. So one of the reasons why -- you have such a concentration of Albanian Americans here in the Detroit, ergo, quite naturally, a great community effort to try to support the relief organizations that are helping provide the necessary supplies overseas.

THE PRESS: Thank you.

The nut jobs also tried to pull an Elgindy on Clinton. The Mercy International they are talking about is not the one with a simular name which is in Canada and the United States. The one Elgindy donated $5,000 to and you have distorted trying to link Elgindy to terrorism.

What a terrible researcher you are. You need lessons in searching correct information. The first rule is make sure you have the right name and organization.

"IARA reportedly transferred money to Mercy International, another non-profit Muslim organization that purchased vehicles used by Osama bin Laden to bomb the U.S. embassies in both Kenya and Tanzania on August 8, 1998," the complaint notes.

Judicial Watch: Clinton IRS Turned Blind Eye To Terrorists
While Bill Clinton's IRS pursued his personal enemies with great enthusiasm -- auditing Billy Dale, Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick and dozens more -- America's enemies, it seems, got a free pass from the same agency.

That's the claim from the legal watchdog group Judicial Watch, which has filed a complaint with IRS Commissioner, Clinton holdover Charles Rossotti, charging that Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network, Hamas and others continue to use tax exempt U.S. based charities to bankroll terror unencumbered by even the hint of an audit.

At least 16 U.S.-based non-profit entities have been linked financially to bin Laden, the legal watchdog group says.

The decision not to investigate these groups is especially difficult to understand given that the information in the Judicial Watch complaint is hardly a state secret. On the contrary, the complaint is based largely on reports published over the last three years in venues like the New York Times.

One such questionable non-profit, the Islamic African Relief Agency (IARA), has been directly linked to earlier attacks on U.S. interests by bin Laden.

"IARA reportedly transferred money to Mercy International, another non-profit Muslim organization that purchased vehicles used by Osama bin Laden to bomb the U.S. embassies in both Kenya and Tanzania on August 8, 1998," the complaint notes.

Not only did Rossotti & Co. not investigate, that same year the Clinton State Department showered the IARA with $4.2 million in grants.

Other non-profits said by Judicial Watch to have ties to Hamas include:
The United Association for Studies and Research
Islamic Association for Palestine
North American Islamic Trust
The Islamic Relief Association
Muslim American Society
The Cultural Society
The Muslim Arab Youth Association
The Alaqsa Educational Fund
Council on American Islamic Relations
Islamic Society of North America
Islamic Circle of North America
American Middle Eastern League for Palestine >br>Quaranic Literacy Institute.

Though Judicial Watch doesn't say so, further investigation may lead to even closer to the Clintons' doorstep. For instance, Rossotti's decision to look the other way happens to coincide with a series of generous donations by Muslim non-profits to Hillary Clinton's Senate campaign?

In Boston -- the same city where two hijacked planes departed before slamming into the World Trade Center nearly two weeks ago -- Mrs. Clinton held a June 13, 2000 fund-raiser hosted by the American Muslim Alliance.

According to a report on the group's website, "The reception was attended by nearly 100 American Muslim leaders and activists."

As NewsMax.com reported at the time, candidate Clinton "clearly understood that her hosts were concerned that the U.S. war on terrorism might be too harsh."

In her speech, "Mrs. Clinton vowed to pursue fairness and justice in the issue of secret evidence and the Anti-Terrorism Act," the AMA Web site noted.

At the Boston event, the former first lady accepted a $1,000 contribution from Abdurahman Alamoudi, an official with the American Muslim Council who once vowed to eliminate Israel and had previously boasted, "We are the ones who went to the (Clinton) White House and defended what is called Hamas."

When Mrs. Clinton's campaign reported Alamoudi's American Muslim Council donation to the F.E.C., the AMC was camouflaged as the "American Museum Council."

Alamoudi had pledged his $1,000 at a fund-raiser held a month earlier at the Washington, D.C. mansion of Yasser Arafat crony Hani Masri -- a gathering Mrs. Clinton's campaign went to great lengths to conceal.

"The event, which sources said raised more than $50,000, was closed to the press, which wouldn't have known about the event anyway, since it wasn't listed on Mrs. Clinton's public schedule," the Jewish Forward reported at the time.

Sooner or later someone's bound to start asking: Was Mrs. Clinton's active fund-raising within the radical Islamic community behind the Clinton IRS's decision to take a pass on tax exempt groups with ties to terrorists?

ARE YOU LISTENING, NY JEWS WHO HELPED TO ELECT HILDEBEAST LAST FALL?

I think this message could be used for a broad-based appeal (perhaps even more expansive
than Senator Rodham's ample posterior):

ARE YOU LISTENING, NY CITIZENS WHO VOTED FOR
HILLARY!, POSSIBLE UNWITTING MEMBER OF
THE PLOT THAT TOPPLED THE WORLD TRADE CENTER TOWERS, LAST FALL?

Of course the term "Possible Unwitting" seems out of place since Hillary! is
the smartest woman, scratch that, human who's ever lived.
At least that's what the television told me...

RE #1 They are not listening. They are rationalizing. After a day of intense twisting of logic, they will surely come up with a "logical" answer to what they did because their ideology cannot and "should" not be wrong. The cure of blind ideologue is usually a mind-numbing shock. And this terror attack is not enough.

There seems to be mounting evidence that there was an UNUSUALLY HIGH volume of SHORTING of stocks particularly hard hit by the events of 9-11.
Shorting is effectively borrowing a stock you don’t own and selling it into the market in hopes the price will fall. You then buy the stock back at the lower price, return it to the owner and pocket the difference.

Administrators of the affected markets are currently investigating massive and extraordinary shorting volume in, among others, the CASUALTY INSURANCE and AIRLINE industries THE DAY BEFORE THE WCT ATTACK. Since all such transactions leave fairly easy to follow paper trails, some answers should be forthcoming soon.

We NOW hear that evidence is building that there was HIGHLY UNUSUAL LONG action in oil and gold.

Could it be possible that Usama bin Laden – who KNEW of the attack has, through his trusted agents – who may or may not have known about it – ACTUALLY MADE MILLIONS FROM ON THE DEATHS OF OVER 6,000 INNOCENT HUMAN BEINGS?

We may never know for sure, but would ANYTHING this monster has done surprise us?

If the Treasury Department and the IRS are NOT at this moment taking as many steps as they routinely take to seize the assets and property of native born Americans who owe them money and/or fall behind in their taxes, ask your congresscritter why.

Abdurahman Alamoudi, the founder of the American Muslim Foundation (AMF) and the American Muslim Council (AMC), is currently the President of the AMF.
Since AMC’s inception in June 1990, Mr. Alamoudi has served as a Member of the Board of Directors and also as Executive Director for the past several years. AMC is a nonprofit organization serving the Muslim interests in the United States. It opposes discrimination against Muslims and other minorities. Its primary goal is to educate the Muslims to be an effective political force in America.

Under his leadership, each of these non-profit organizations has served the interests of the Muslim community in this country for nearly a decade. AMC has served as a resource for inter-organizational and cross-cultural cooperation.

Prior to founding the American Muslim Council and the American Muslim Foundation, Mr. Alamoudi worked as the Executive Assistant to the President of the SAAR Foundation. Among his other business activities, Mr. Alamoudi worked at the Northeast Regional Representative for Arabic Software Computers Inc., as Vice-President and Treasurer for Cambridge Computers and Instruments in Boston. He was also the regional representative for the Washington metropolitan area of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA). Earlier, he served as Acting President of the Muslim Student’s Association of the United States and Canada.

Additionally, Mr. Alamoudi remains an active member of many organizations dedicated to promoting cooperation among different religious, ethnic, and political communities. Among them, he heads Muslims for a Better America and the American Task Force for Bosnia. He also sits on the advisory boards of a number of organizations including interfaith Impact for Justice and Peace, on the Board of The Council on National Interest Foundation, Mercy International, the Somali Relief Fund and the American Muslims for Jerusalem. He was the first exclusive endorsing agent for Muslim Chaplains for all branches of the US Armed Forces.

Mr. Alamoudi is a widely sought-after speaker for both political and religious affairs--nationally as well as locally. He appeared on national network program such as CNN’s Crossfire, discussing important issues dealing with Islam and Muslims in America. He is also frequently sought as a speaker, by USIA, to travel abroad fostering communication and cooperation across many countries and diverse cultures.

Mr. Alamoudi holds a Master’s Degree in business administration from Southeaster University and Bachelor of Science in pharmacy from Cairo University.

Mr. Alamoudi is married and has three children.

Simply Clintonian
Blood-money questions hound Hillary.

By Deroy Murdock, a columnist with the Scripps Howard News Service

n the final weekend before electing their next U.S. senator, New York voters continue to sift through constant revelations about Hillary Rodham Clinton and her pro-terrorist donors. The First Lady claims not to have known that the American Muslim Alliance (AMA) sponsored a June 13 fundraiser in Boston where she received $50,000 in donations and a plaque. Her campaign originally stated that the event was a meeting of Massachusetts Americans of Arab descent and that the AMA later tried to say it arranged the gathering.

"I resent this organization that claims to have hosted this event," Clinton declared last week.

Sunday's New York Post reports that Clinton sent a warm note on White House letterhead offering "greetings to each of you attending the American Muslim Alliance Convention" in October 1998. "I commend you for your efforts to encourage others to work to make their voices heard in the present and for the future," she continued. "Please accept my best wishes for a wonderful convention."

The event's keynote speaker was Stanley Cohen, attorney to controversial Clinton donor Abdurahman Alamoudi. Cohen told the meeting that the "true terrorists are the state of Israel and its supporter, the United States, in perpetuating the victimization of the Palestinians in their own land."

This "New Hill Flap," as the Post's front-page headline dubbed it, comes just 48 hours after further evidence of Clinton's Mideast mendacity. On Friday, after repeated press inquiries, the Clinton campaign released an August 8 letter in which the First Lady thanks the AMA for hosting her June fundraiser.

"It was a pleasure to be a part of the Massachusetts chapter meeting of the American Muslim Alliance," says the letter on White House stationery. "The plaque is a wonderful reminder of my visit. Please extend my appreciation and thanks to the entire membership." The letter to Massachusetts AMA chair Tahir Ali bears the First Lady's signature.

Clinton now says the correspondence was signed with an autopen. "I never saw the letter before," she said. "I know nothing about this...No reason to check it out with me, the form letter is sent out."

Republican rival Rick Lazio's senatorial campaign responded to this news with a satirical press release. "Autopen Casts Deciding Vote to Double Taxes on New York," said yesterday's communique. "Vicious Machine Says Money Needed to Provide Free Housing for Hollywood Homeless."

Even if Clinton is telling the truth in this instance, one of her White House aides should have searched for any such correspondence and released it to reporters with a full accounting of what really happened. Instead, in classic Clinton style, the truth has dribbled out since the New York Daily News broke the story on October 25.

The tale of the mad autopen comes on the heels of additional information about Abdurahman Alamoudi of the American Muslim Council (AMC). The Clinton campaign returned his $1,000 contribution after learning of his sympathies for Hamas, a Palestinian terrorist group responsible for at least 130 deaths and over 600 injuries in a variety of Israeli bomb attacks. The Clinton campaign's June 30 filing with the Federal Election Commission lists Alamoudi's occupation as "American Museum Council" rather than "American Muslim Council." Just a typo, the First Lady's campaign has said.

Alamoudi, for his part, embarrassed Clinton further with his remarks at an October 28 rally at Lafayette Park, across the street from the White House.

"I have been labeled by the media in New York to be a supporter of Hamas," Alamoudi said. "Anybody support Hamas here?" Alamoudi thrice asked the crowd of 3,000 as it screamed with excitement. "Hear that, Bill Clinton?" he continued. "We are all supporters of Hamas. I wish they added that I am also a supporter of Hezbollah...Does anybody support Hezbollah here?"

Hezbollah, of course, is the terrorist group that claimed responsibility for the 1983 explosion at a Beirut barracks that killed 239 American Marines as they slept.

"It's an occupation, stupid," Alamoudi added, presumably of Israel's presence in the Middle East.< "Hamas is fighting an occupation. It's a legal fight."

When the Daily News asked Alamoudi to comment on his remarks, he replied, "You better check your Arabic." Told that he had spoken in English, Alamoudi said, "It was in English? Oh my God, I forgot!"

Alamoudi also served as a State Department goodwill ambassador. Since 1997, he has made six speechmaking trips to the Middle East, earning $200-per-day plus a $200 expense per diem. Alamoudi lectured audiences on religious tolerance.

As Middle East specialist Steve Emerson wrote in Friday's Wall Street Journal the AMA and AMC also sponsored a 1998 Brooklyn College rally where Islamic extremists demanded a "jihad" and described Jews as "pigs and monkeys."

Hillary Clinton's deceptive game of footsie with such characters raises new questions about her true sympathies. She has called for the creation of a Palestinian state. She kissed Mrs. Yasser Arafat on the cheek after Mrs. Arafat gave a speech in November 1999 claiming that Israel gassed Arab children. (Bad translation, Clinton explained.) The First Lady also denied allegations that she called a former campaign adviser "a f***ing Jew bastard" after Bill Clinton lost a congressional bid early in his career.

These facts may help clarify why Democratic assemblyman Dov Hikind, influential in New York's Orthodox Jewish community, endorsed neither Clinton nor Lazio for Senate. Indeed, Democratic city councilman Noach Dear, a Brooklyn Jew, backed Lazio's candidacy Thursday, calling him "a great friend of Israel" while handing out "Lazio/Dear" yarmulkes.

The Long Island congressman still faces tough odds. The five-point lead he enjoyed in the Zogby International poll on October 31 vanished after voters seemingly became turned off by 500,000 state GOP phone calls that overplayed the Clinton blood-money issue. They claimed that the first lady's donors support terrorists, such as those who blew up the U.S.S. Cole in Yemen last month. While Lazio did not sponsor the calls, Clinton accused him of capitalizing on the tragic murder of U.S. sailors.

For her part, Mrs. Clinton said in Rochester on November 2, "Those 17 young men and women died aboard defending our right to vote." WABC-TV reporter Dave Evans wondered if "some of the audience in Rochester thought that invoking the Cole tragedy in order to get out the vote may have been a bit over-the-top." Apart from that, the New York media have largely not commented on Clinton's Rochester remarks.

The GOP nominee gained support since yesterday's Zogby poll, but still trails Clinton who leads 49.3 percent to Lazio's 44.9 (margin of error: 3.8 percent).

This seesawing race likely will pivot on turnout. Some 2,000 members of state teachers unions are calling Democratic voters to cajole them telephonically to their precincts. Members of the United AutoWorkers and affiliated unions have received a mailing urging votes for Albert Gore and Hillary Clinton.

The intensity of Lazio's supporters may be his secret weapon. They are eager to help Hillary pack her carpetbag and go home. Since not even gale-force winds will keep them from the polls, Lazio should pray for a noreaster to sandbag Clinton's Gotham City base. Tuesday's forecast calls for 58 degrees beneath partly cloudy skies.

My comment above was quite vague, sorry.
Klayman was suing Cheney or Bush a month or so ago, wasn't he?

Not only that, he was indirectly blaming Bush for the terrorists' attacks:

JUDICIAL WATCH BLAMES PRESIDENT BUSH FOR TERRORIST
ATTACKS --Promises Investigation (mine)

Sounds to me that Newsmax, who is sympathetic to JW and often covers JW stories, is now trying to slant Klayman's latest "investigation" (based only on NY Times reports btw) against Clinton. Here is JW's OWN press release of this same story here which I posted a couple of days ago:

JUDICIAL WATCH ASKS THAT IRS INVESTIGATE AND SHUT DOWN TERROR FINANCIAL NETWORK LIKELY LINKED TO BIN LADEN NETWORK

There was little mention of Clinton in JW's original press release of this new "investigation". Now apparently since the funds are not rolling in, there is an effort to link the attack more to Clinton (and perhaps they should be) but now drop the references to Bush.

Interesting.

One of the speakers on one of the Sunday morning talk shows yesterday -- I wish I could remember who -- said that "moderate" Arab governments like the Saudi had purchased their own immunity from the Islamofascist groups through a "devil's bargain," allowing the groups to fundraise on their territory. I suspect nothing like Sept. 11 happened on Clinton's watch because the Clinton administration had struck a similar "devil's bargain" with the Islamofascists. Most terrorist incidents on Clinton's watch in which the Islamofascists were or might have been involved, like the embassy bombings and OKC, were politically convenient for Clinton, and I suspect happened with Clinton's connivance. I wonder if it's just a coincidence that Sept. 11 happened when Clinton was out of the country, in Australia. Does anybody know whether it is true that Hillary was not at the U.S. Senate when it was evacuated?

This is the same Charles Rossotti that insists that he be treated different than other governmental employees. He has not had to sell his stock in AMS, Inc., the company that he started and that earns most of its business from the IRS. Of course, Mr. Rossotti enjoys the dividens from the company as well as his wife is a successful attourney that has the AMS, Inc. account. Therefore, she obtains profits from her husbands handouts also. This was a Clinton appointee. However, Congress has agreed to the special deal that Mr. Charles Rossotti enjoys. Why? Why?

It would be interesting to know why Judicial Watch made its initial decision to oppose President Bush back in September of las year.
Was it a calculated risk that President Bush would be so liberal that there would be a lot of potential conservative contributors?

Or was it fear that if Bush won the election that all contributions would dry up?

Or was is a personal vendetta because he didn't agree to let JW host one of the presidential debates? Or some other personal slight?

I bet JW is kicking itself in the arse right now seeing the President's approval in the 90s.

"...charging that Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda network, Hamas and others continue to use tax exempt U.S. based charities to bankroll terror unencumbered by even the hint of an audit.
At least 16 U.S.-based non-profit entities have been linked financially to bin Laden, the legal watchdog group says."
They studied our way of life, well...studied the infrastructures we have as close.
Studied the bastard Clinton even moreso.
Knew a few pieces of silver was all it'd take...
Just like the Chinese & God only knows who else.

This nation's in some dreadful, terrible peril & ALL because of this one, treasonsous bastard of a barfly drunk who seduced a woefully ignorant, gullible electorate all the way to the White House.

The Lamestream media will of course, remain silent & as such, complicitous coconspirators in what's happened here.

It's good to see some of the "relief organization" names published. A Freeper said yesterday that President Bush's press release about freezing terrorists' assets included the names of the many non-profits they know to be aiding Usama and friends. President Bush specifically mentioned that groups were posing as 'relief organizations' and 'non-profits' and the administration is clearly aware of them.
I've been stunned by the number of 'relief organizations'- legitimate or not -exploiting Afghanistan on the world stage. Plenty of folks have been raking in money and speaking to "important" international powerhouse groups like the UN, Carnegie Endowment for Int. Peace, Council on Foreign Relations, Congress, etc., etc...Afghanistan, the perfect photo-op to push leftist causes from gun control to equal rights, to atheism.

Yea.
Sure was a grandiose scheme, huh.
The deeper we dig, the more will be laid-bare for all to see.

This one has the potential to be some scandle; just one more sellout in a long string to be pinned to the chest of, "The most ethical administration in the nation's history" headed-up by the Greatest LIAR this nation's ever known.
The knee deep corruption has gummed-up the inner workings so bad, I don't know what's going to happen & what's worse?
The ignorant unwashed masses who'd put all their faith into the monster Clintigula?

FEW have a clue as to just what the hell ran 'em over.
Paaaaathetic.

I thought we already knew the beginning and end of the money trail in the Loral case.

Wasn't it simply canpaign contributions in exchange for waivers? Or do you know about some other money?

I was under the impresion that the difficulty in the case was proving the quid-pro-quo, since Clinton was acting within his lawful powers when he permitted our technology to be sold to China.

You're welcome for the bump.

This was throughly discussed in one of the McAuliffe threads - I'll take a look there and bbl.
