Beatles in Space

On Monday evening NASA will celebrate its 50th anniversary
by beaming "Across the Universe," well, across the universe.

Or, more specifically through the Deep Space Network's antennas,
towards the North Star, hurtling along at 186,000 miles per
second. The transmission will mark the first time a song is
sent through space—not coincidentally, it's also the 40th
anniversary of the original recording.

NASA's transmitting the song at 7pm EST and urging everyone
to aim their hi-fis skywards at the same time.

Is this what we are hoping for?

Worth repeating "The earth is standing at the edge of a dark precipice; on the other side is the greatest epic in mankind's history, waiting to be written, waiting for those of us who dare to take up the pen and to fight the darkness of the lies. An army of freedom-writers, who are as dedicated to defending life as the enemies of life are dedicated to ending it, can bring forth a new sustaining vision of life. We must first choose to place our own freedom in jeopardy, by stepping forward to stop those who would take us into the void in a vain gamble to crush most of the earth's life for the sake of greater "profit."
