He was in the business of importing fine chocolates from Belgium. Apparently the comments I had made about my favorite chocolates had led him to believe I was a true aficionado of the stuff. As he walked me through the place, showing me all the different things he had, he asked casually, "You prefer the dark, of course?" I had to admit that in fact, I rather liked the milk better, overall. He was visibly taken aback, but recovered, and politely told me that it was OK, that milk chocolate can also be very good. He then explained to me why the milk chocolate from Belgium is so much better than that from some other countries - because of the high quality of the grass the cows eat, and the pure water they drink. I do wish I had taken the opportunity to have him teach me more about the dark side. - Allen
