FUQI 7.25 - Fuqi International Inc., a Chinese jewelry maker, on Thursday raised its fiscal first-quarter and 2008 guidance, due to better-than-expected wholesale revenue. The company now expects a profit between 27 cents and 28 cents per share, up from its March guidance of 19 cents and 21 cents per share. Fuqi now expects revenue of $76 million to $77 million from previous guidance of $62 million. For 2008, the company now expects earnings of 85 to 90 cents per share, from previous guidance of 70 cents to 80 cents per share. It predicts wholesale revenue of $290 million and $300 million, from previous expectations of $235 million to $250 million.
