Intel just got a publicity black eye. They should have supported the OLPC to the hilt. If OLPC failed at least they could have said they tried. They probably wouldn't have lost money on the deal and they could have still implemented the classmate. Who cares about the personality of Negroponte? They would have gotten great publicity out of it. Would Andy Grove have instructed Dell not to supply Intel/Dell computers to Jerry Sanders' AMD Headquarters? Hell no, they would have told the world even AMD uses Intel based computers.
