Brinkers peak oil guest was Charlie Maxwell.

energybulletin.net

Brinker is (as mentioned) pretty mainstream but he did have James Kunstler on once. Brinker seems somewhat open to new ideas. He often comments about all the wasted years between the Opec oil embargo back in 1973-74? and how we could have used those years to become, as he says "energy independent".

He also thinks we should be drilling in ANWAR yesterday and that we are making a big mistake by not ramping up nuclear power. He often cites France's success with nuclear power.

My take is that Brinker knows and understands the PO scenario but still thinks it (PO) could be mitigated.

I am not so optimistic.
