In Switzerland, it is required that every household have at least one gun. And it is also required that everyone knows how to use a gun. They seem to have very few gun related deaths. At least the last time I looked that was true.

Not just blunt force trauma. The Rwandan genocide killed about a million people mostly with machetes.

Also they take in on faith that if you outlaw the weapons you can eliminate or almost eliminate the weapons.

I suppose our stirling success in outlawing and thus eliminating drugs makes them thing this...
