In pure political terms, a Democratic president will have a Democratic Congress but probably not enough senators to overcome the filibuster threat. So it will take the hand across the aisle to remaining moderate Republicans to get important legislation through.

As we have seen with Bush, bashing the crap out of your political opponents then inviting them to fall in line behind you in the spirit of "bipartisanship" goes nowhere.

We need a coalition builder to get things done the next eight years.

Hi Steve. I know Hillary has a reputation for divisiveness, but her Senate career shows a willingness to cooperate and compromise. Is it possible that Hillary's "divisiveness" is just a RW fairy tale?
