"(PS --- looks like fiscal 2009 will 'bookend' his accomplishment: with a record deficit matching his two term deficit high from 2004.... :-(" Absolutely right....and all the verbiage about growing the economy through tax cuts fails to recognize that when tax revenues are cut further by economic weakness, and the need to stimulte the economy will demand more spending......the resulting problem is FAR WORSE than it would have been if tax cuts had been matched with spending cuts instead of just planning to "grow our way out of the deficits". Such a pile of crud...do the big-government republicans think people are that stupid? No wait...maybe they are!
