Pretty sure that I never weighed-in by voicing "high esteem" for the Senator (you are likely just jumping ahead of yourself there....)

All I did was observe that --- compared to Bush II --- McCain is way more fiscally responsible. (For example: he wanted to lower taxes AND cut federal spending, unlike the big deficit spending Bush....)

Admittedly though, it's a relative ranking.

I'm sure that, when measured for advocacy of Smaller Government and lower federal spending, there are FEW in Washington (McCain included) who could ever hold a candle to Dr. Paul.... Bush, certainly, isn't even in the same ball park.
