A successful presidency whether led by a woman or an african-american will have wonderful repercussions with regard to bigotry. These are exciting times for those of us old enough to have actually lived civil rights and NOW.

I'm going to have to quick enthusiastically agreeing with you, Kate. Well, now that I read that, I can at least hold back from the positive comment about NOW. Always saw them as much too conservative for my tastes.

I thought it was all over then. I didn't know anyone who felt otherwise. I didn't know anyone who knew anyone who could even think about voting for Richard Nixon.

Things may be worse today. The Constitution, immigration, the nanny state, Second Amendment etc have meaning beyond the obvious.

I always mention how nasty it sounded...........can't help myself and it is embarrassing.

The anti-woman and the anti-black forums are buzzing in overdrive right now!!

There ought to be some interesting years ahead of us.

Hopefully, the bigots on both sides will learn something.
