Would you empower these clowns to do more of this type of promotion, and give them money to do so? I would not. You can pick out a few examples... but again the medical community was behind the saturated fat thing. There have certainly been other government actions that did and do promote health. Smoking in public place, the Presidents Council of Physical Fitness, meat inspection, banning lead in paint, asbestos... Yes there are times when they are wrong but it's not like they are independently going out and just making their own medical decisions. They are following the lead of medical establishment... as wrong as that can be at times.
