"In Nixon's time, even the (R)'s knew this."

And look what happened then.

There were elements in the Republican party who apparently vowed that wouldn't happen again. The first sign I saw was when Ollie North said his first loyalty was to "his president". Despite his oath as an officer.

And no one, outside of the military, seemed to had noticed. There is a reason why he abruptly retired. Otherwise they would have had to have him face a court martial.

Chris, > But where he's led you and what you've backed him on IS the problem.

So what you are saying is that it isn't about the person, but rather the issues?

Keep that in mind while you throw your support behind "Anybody but the Republican." The federal budget just reached $3.1 trillion under Bush (i.e. more than $10,000 per resident), yet none of the front-runners want to cut overall spending. Not even the Republicans.
