I do not recall any mention of printing dollars.

It is maybe the other guys who are trading their Euros, funny-yen, or Loonies for dollars. Everyone wants their export market to survive, as their own people just don't spend enough or love debt enough.

It is difficult to win when all those against your position have similar short-term objectives.
