It's worse than you think.

IIRC, Social Security and Medicare make up about half of the federal budget. That $1.6 trillion doesn't include interest on the debt.

This is a surprisingly difficult thing to find out.

Assuming the percentages are similar to 2006, that would be on the high side from this source.
