Well.....not just the far left. It seems some of your peers like Obama as well.

There were some people, including many Republicans who voted for Perot - before it was know that the man was a nutcase, and some even after the fact.

But what you say is actually even more of a confirmation of what I hypothesis: I guess people see in Obama what they want to see, they project their (often contradictory) desires on him...

Not necessarily........I think they see a man who is trying to unite a very divided country. That may be more important to them than some of the issues.

If that's what you can believe, and if that's what important to you, I take it you voted for the Uniter in 2000.
