I disagree. Gold might go to $775-$800 in coming months but is headed for much higher prices no matter what happens to base metal prices. It has been under accumulation for the last 5 years and will be for the next 10. Base metals are consumed. If we get a global recession, base metals consumption will diminish.

Don't read me wrong, base metals have a very bright future and will go to new highs because long term consumption in Asia will continue to grow much fast than mine production. But the current cycle is over and prices are correcting. Maybe prices will not be cut by half, but I think they are going down.
