And who says what's fair anyway. Our tax system is so screwed up it's no where near "fair". RE:"That's a different issue entirely. I haven't heard either of them talk about it." It's not a different issue at all, look up the definition of capital gains at the IRS. Are you aware that raising taxes going into a recession is what caused the 30's depression to be worse and longer than it needed to be?
