Yes, I agree about the blight that corn is on the USA and the odd "fractions" that it produces including that big blight high fructose corn syrup.

Single payer health care would make health care an expense and not a profit center. It would be more likely, therefore, to address chronic problems like diabetes and obesity before they blow up into amputation, blindness, etc.

The problem with a for-profit healthcare system is that corporations love chronic, lifelong problems. They will produce drugs for ED but balk at producing new antibiotics. One is a chronic condition while the other is a cure.

Single payer campaigns would help address the problem of the big agricultural corporations that keep getting subsidies for producing corn that no one should eat. I'm not sure if anything much can be done for people's refusal to exercise. I would vote for a one day a week blackout of all media.
