I think your statement is certainly something I've found to be true. There are certainly many of those who profess to have no religion or say they are atheist here in Lib Seattle. Not one of the 5 and maybe 6 that I personally know, would even hear of the fact they are making their "anti-religion" badge into a "badge of atheist IS a religion" ...They are NOT willing to discuss anything with anyone who thinks differently than they do, but certainly are vocal in expressing their own views. Talked with a Democrat friend of mine last night. She quote "hates Bush", and really "doesn't like" Huckabee or Romney because of their Religion and speaking of it while running. I mentioned that I agreed with the last part, but also said "for the most part, those two are responding to media or other questions, rather than bringing it up themselves".....She said something about GWB and his Evangelist tendencies....so I asked her if she knew that GWB and Hillary were of the same United Methodist designation? "Well", she said, "so am I" and GWB MUST belong to a strange group of them..." There just isn't anyway to discuss anything with these people. She's "going to vote for Hillary" and 'that is that." Go figure.
