I have these American Goldfinches who come to feed on thistle seed I put out. I'm beginning to dislike them. They're little birds, about an inch smaller than the Juncos and House Finches, but they chase the other birds away. If I mix the thistle in with other seed, such as millet, they pull the millet out and dump it on the ground so they can get more easily to the thistle.

They are pretty birds, but their behavior leaves something to be desired.
