The thousand years is the last age of the present earth, when many positive transformations take place. It ends in a war of rebellion against the people of God at Jerusalem, when Satan is released from the abyss. The last judgment of mankind follows. After that, the heavens and earth are recreated which begins the eternal age of the new earth. God descends to earth to live among men with Christ after that. It says that they will reign on the earth forever. (Dan. 2:44; Luke 1:33; Rev. 20-22.)
